Remembering Commissioner Dena Taylor

The Santa Cruz County Seniors Commission is saddened by the passing of Commissioner Dena Taylor, who represented the First District and served as a dedicated advocate for older adults in our community.

Dena brought her thoughtful perspective, creativity, and commitment to community service to the Seniors Commission. She was an engaged and valued member who cared deeply about the well-being of older adults and the many contributions they make to our community. Her presence, insight, and friendship will be greatly missed by her fellow Commissioners and County staff.

Dena passed away on June 15, 2026. We extend our deepest condolences to her family, friends, and all those who had the privilege of knowing and working with her.
